Bush orders flags flown at half-mast for Katrina victims
President George W. Bush ordered flags flown at half-mast across the country as a mark of respect for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
The directive, which will remain in force until sunset on Tuesday, applies to US flags flown from all public buildings and military posts, as well as the White House. It also includes US missions and military facilities overseas.
